This section shows the metallic all-silver strainers, with a few new designs that have a gold or color metallic finish over the pewter silver.
These strainer are a little more subtle and elegant than the fun enamel colored strainers in the other section.
They also have more of a sculptural 3-D style. The colored enamel strainers are usually flat to hold the enamel coating. These non-enameled designs have more depth and body to their designs.
They fit 99% of kitchen sinks, and do a very effective job of holding water, since they have a thick flexible rubber stopper under the strainer.
They're made in the USA (some components made abroad) by a mother/daughter small business. Very pleasant people to work with.
Quality is excellent for the price. We've used several in our own sinks. (You might want to be a bit more careful with them than with a plain old strainer... for example, we try to make sure they're in the down position, not sticking up above the bottom of the sink, before placing a super heavy pan full of water on them.) Overall we've been very pleasantly surprised with their durability.
