This highly detailed ornament features the Provincetown Pilgrim Monument with the sun, gulls, clouds, a whale tail, and trees in the background.
The bright red box bears the following legend: "The Monument was erected to commemorate the landing of the Pilgrims in the new world on November 11, 1620. The height of the tower is 252'7.5". The top of the monument is 352' above sea level and there are 116 stairs and 60 ramps. It is the tallest all granite structure in the United States and is built wholly of Maine granite. Every stone is the entire thickness of the wall, and the view from the top is superb."
The ornament is 24k gold flashed brass and measures 3" tall by 2 1/8" wide.
